7-Hr Wyoming Law Course

This 7-hour Wyoming Real Estate Law course provides a comprehensive review of the legal framework governing real estate practice in Wyoming. The course begins with an examination of the authority and enforcement powers of the Wyoming Real Estate Commission, including record inspections, complaint investigations, and disciplinary actions. You will continue on to review licensing requirements, activities requiring licensure, continuing education obligations, renewal procedures, and changes in license status.

The course also addresses the duties and responsibilities of licensees in agency and non-agency relationships, trust fund handling, document management, advertising standards, and required disclosures. Additional focus is placed on broker supervision, compensation rules, and protection against errors and omissions. Consumer protection topics include statutory definitions, the Recovery and Education Funds, the Statute of Frauds, material facts, and foreclosure and redemption. The course concludes with practical applications of Wyoming law to real-world brokerage scenarios, reinforcing compliant and ethical practice. All of which will prepare you to take your Wyoming salesperson licensing exam with PearsonVue.

WY 21-Hr Salesperson Course II

This 21-hour salesperson prelicensing course provides a comprehensive review of topics that are specific and relevant to Wyoming real estate practice. It integrates Wyoming statutory laws and federal regulations that govern real estate practice, ensuring you have a solid understanding of the legal obligations and consumer protections you’ll use in your real estate practice.

We’ll cover expectations for professional conduct with clients, peers, and the public, while emphasizing  legal compliance, safety considerations, practical transaction skills, and ethical responsibilities. You will develop proficiency in working with buyers and sellers, distinguishing agency relationship types, using the correct contracts and forms, contract negotiation strategies, and understanding how title insurance, office administration, and closing procedures will become part of your career. 

This course, along with the 40-hour Salesperson I, and 7-hour Wyoming Law courses, prepares you to take your Pearson Vue salesperson licensing exam. WY 40-Hr Salesperson Course I

This Wyoming 40-hour Salesperson Course I, prelicensing course provides a comprehensive foundation in real estate principles and practices.

You will explore how agency relationships are created, managed, and terminated, including the rights, duties, and disclosure obligations owed to clients and customers; contract concepts, from general legal principles to the structure and enforcement of purchase agreements, listing contracts, buyer representation agreements, and broker-licensee relationships; and you’ll also examine real property ownership and interests, including estates in land, leasehold interests, business ownership, private restrictions, and government powers that affect land use.

Finance topics introduce loan types, financing methods, lending instruments, and federal oversight of the mortgage process, with additional sections address property valuation, appraisal methods, conveyance and title, marketing and advertising regulations, property management responsibilities, and essential real estate calculations. 

Throughout the course, concepts are presented in practical, exam-relevant terms to help you understand how real estate law, finance, and practice intersect in real-world transactions and professional decision-making, and prepares you to take your PearsonVue salesperson licensing exam.

State Requirements For Wyoming

Hours Required by the State: 68 hours

State Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by Pearson. For instructions to register for your state licensing exam and further information, please click here.

Registration for the state licensing exam is an entirely separate process from your course final exam.

The CE Shop’s Offering: 68 hours

Reporting: The state does not require schools to report course completions.

Expiration Date of Course: Course expiration dates vary by course. Each individual course will have an expiration date listed in your account.

The CE Shop’s Pre-Licensing courses expire six months after the date of purchase. Each student will be granted a one-month extension at no charge, to be applied immediately after the initial six-month term. For any reactivation or extension of the course after the seventh month, The CE Shop will charge the student 20% of the current retail price of the course for each 30-day extension or partial 30-day extension in the event that the course finally terminates before the end of the final 30-day extension. Students may also elect to re-enroll for 50% of the current retail price of the course, if the course has hit the year expiration or the student is at the 7 month mark and wants to repurchase and restart the course and enrollment. Extensions or reactivations cannot be granted beyond 12 months from the purchase of the course since, in all events, the course terminates 12 months after purchase.

Course Final Exam: Final exams must be passed with a minimum of 70%.

Certificates: Immediately upon course completions, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
