Take a Look at Peyton Manning’s Sprawling Estate
Few athletes are as ambitious as Peyton Manning. The former Broncos quarterback, who has repeatedly earned spots on “highest-paid athletes” lists, definitely keeps himself busy. Yet, when he’s not starring in blue chip commercials, hosting Saturday Night Live, or filming an episode of Peyton’s Places, he’s likely luxuriating in his palatial Cherry Hills estate.
Built in 2004, the Georgian-style seven-bedroom eight-and-a-half bathroom dwelling offers 16,464 square feet of beautifully appointed interior space and sits on 3.37 acres of prime, perfectly manicured Cherry Hills landscape. Features include a gated entry to the estate, a long winding driveway which leads to a seven-car heated garage, an elevator, a game room with a billiards table, a wine cellar, a very traditional study, and, since it’s Colorado - a dog room with a heated indoor/outdoor kennel.
In terms of fit and finish, no expenses have been spared. Slab granite countertops, custom cabinets, custom-built inlays, and black walnut flooring adorn the interior, giving it a timeless feel that’ll preserve its opulence for many years to come. Even the main floor master bathroom comes equipped with aa heated floor, an NFL-size shower, and a wet bar with a refrigerator.
Sadly, there’s no pool or hot tub on the property but should the Mannings (or whoever the future owners might be) ever decide to put one in, we’re confident that they’ll have no issues.
As it currently sits, the house is worth roughly $6,010,963. That’s up from the original purchase price of $4.575 million. Manning purchased the property in July 2012, not long after signing a contract with the Denver Broncos. Cherry Hills Village, where the house is located, grabbed headlines earlier this year when it ranked fourth on Bloomberg’s list of most affluent places in the country.
Of course, die-hard football fans might be willing to pay more for the chance to own a property formerly lived in by sports royalty. Peyton Manning has quite the trophy case, including awards for five All-Pro MVP Awards, 14 Pro Bowl appearances, is ranked third in all-time career passing yards at 71,940, and, of course, two Super Bowl rings. In fact, Manning is the only starting quarterback in NFL history to have played in multiple Super Bowls and have won one with different franchises.
Don’t expect his Cherry Hills home to hit the market anytime soon, though. Like others who fall in love with the Mile High City, Manning is likely here to stay, telling 9News long after retiring that coming to Denver was “the best decision he ever made,” and that “everything I thought about Denver and heard about was true. Everybody's been so warm and welcoming to my family, embracing us, believing in me."
And we couldn’t agree more.
