Maine 55-Hour Sales Agent Pre-Licensing Course
This course provides 55 hours of instruction in principles of real estate which is the required course of study for the salesperson licensing examination in Maine. Topics include real estate and Maine license law, property ownership, encumbrances, legal descriptions, transfer of title, closing, contracts, agency, antitrust, valuation, finance, real estate math, property management/leasing, fair housing, and environmental risks and health issues.

MAINE STATE REQUIREMENT DETAILS FOR REAL ESTATE SALES AGENT PRE-LICENSING EDUCATION
Hours Required by the State: 55 hours
Qualifying Education Final Exams: Each course contains a final exam. A minimum score of 75% is required to pass the final exam and can be taken as many times as needed to pass.
Licensing Exam: The licensing exam is administered by PearsonVue. For instructions to register for your state licensing exam and further information, please click here.
The CE Shop’s Offering: 55 hours
Reporting: The state requires schools to report course completions. The CE Shop will report course completions within 30 days of completion.
Expiration Date of Course: The CE Shop’s Pre-Licensing courses expire six months after the date of purchase. For more information, see our terms and conditions page.
Certificates: Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course certificate of completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your certificate(s) of completion with your renewal. Course completion dates are recorded using Central Standard Time. Please note that the date on your certificate of completion will reflect this.
