Next Steps Towards Getting Your Virginia License
Congratulations on completing your 60-hour Virginia real estate salesperson Pre-Licensing education! The next step is to tackle your licensing exam. For the best chance at success, we recommend the following steps:
Obtain a license application through the DPOR site. You’ll be able to submit your application after you pass the state exam and have your fingerprints taken.
Make an exam appointment through PSI.
Familiarize yourself with the content of the licensing exam by reviewing the exam Content Outline on pages 3-5 of the PSI Candidate Handbook and the Content Map that identifies where exam topics are covered within your course.
Take advantage of the state and national practice exams, which are designed to mirror the topics in your actual licensing exam. These practice exams are available at the end of your course.

The Virginia real estate licensing exam consists of both national and state-specific questions. To best prepare you to rock the exam, here’s a breakdown of the topics that you’ll encounter on the licensing exam:
