You are now ready to file your application, get your fingerprints taken, complete your background check, and take your licensing exam. TREC provides step-by-step instructions on its website page titled Become a Real Estate Sales Agent.
For the best chance at success with your licensing exam, we recommend taking the following steps:
Familiarize yourself with the content of the licensing exam by reviewing the exam content outlined on pages 26-28 of the PearsonVue Candidate Handbook.
Take advantage of the “Texas Pre-Licensing – Practice Exams” course that has been provided to you free of charge. We suggest taking these practice exams until you have passed each with a score of at least 90%.

The Texas real estate licensing exam consists of both national and state-specific questions. To best prepare you for the exam, here’s a breakdown of the topics that you’ll encounter on the licensing exam:
