"Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." - Melody Beattiel
November is the perfect time to take a break during your normal, everyday activities and take stock of the things that you appreciate most in your life. Whether it’s your health, a supportive family, or the perfect burrito from that place down the street, it’s essential to notice and express gratitude for the things that are important to you. Research says that “gratitude effectively increases happiness and reduces depression.” And Thanksgiving is the perfect holiday to embrace the holiday spirit and be thankful for the different things that make your life better each and every day.
This month, we asked our students and social followers to consider their own lives and post a picture on social media of the one thing that they’re most grateful for using the hashtag #CEthanks. Thanks to everyone who participated in this campaign and shared a glimpse of their lives with us, we received a great compilation of responses. Below are a few of the most impactful posts.
The CE Shop employees also commented on some of the top things that they're thankful for.
Our Director of Software Development Matt Vegas said, "The best place to work is where you can be your best. For that, I am thankful for the opportunity The CE Shop has given me and for being part of the best team ever assembled. Thank you!"
Curriculum Quality Assurance Specialist Adele Anderson stated, "I am grateful for the family and friends My husband and I will be celebrating Thanksgiving with this week. We have a wonderful community!"
And our Curriculum Product Manager Sharon Anderson said, "I’m most thankful for my teen son! I’m appreciating every moment with him before he ventures out on his own."
We’re grateful to be in the company of such humble people who are willing to share what they appreciate most. As for us, The CE Shop would not exist without its students and we will always appreciate the loyalty and dedication shown by our impressive students. We’re thankful that we get to support agents and brokers who, in turn, help build communities across the country.
