The CE Shop Foundation Produces Record-Breaking Bike for Backpacks Event
The CE Shop Foundation’s Bike for Backpacks 5-day bike ride through the Rocky Mountains raised $29,590 for backpack programs.
October 2017 – Each year, The CE Shop Foundation embarks on an annual Bike for Backpacks fundraiser through the mountains of Colorado to raise money for school-aged backpack programs coast to coast. 2017 marks the fourth year that participants cycled 226 miles in order to bring the issue of childhood hunger to the forefront.
The Bike for Backpacks event raised a total of $29,590 on September 16, 2017 to support local backpack programs in Colorado. Throughout 2017, donations from The CE Shop Foundation fed 10,541 families, the highest in the history of the 501c3 not for profit organization. Since its inception in 2014, the foundation has fed a total of 31,579 families across the United States.
