TX Broker Pre-Licensing Law of Agency Course
This 30-hr course covers real estate law of agency in Texas. The course helps prepare you for the Texas licensing exam, as well as provides the foundation knowledge necessary to be a successful real estate Sales Agent.
To apply for a Texas Real Estate Sales Agent’s license, you need to complete six courses (180 credit hours): Principles of Real Estate I (30 hours), Principles of Real Estate II (30 hours), Law of Agency (30 hours), Law of Contracts (30 hours), Promulgated Contracts and Forms (30 hours), and Real Estate Finance (30 hours). This course covers the 30 hours of content required in the Law of Agency courses, as stipulated by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).
The course covers critical agency concepts including the relationship between a principle and an agent, an agent’s authority, the termination of an agent’s authority, an agents fiduciary and other duties, employment law, deceptive trade practices, listing and buying representation, and the disclosure of agency.
