In residential sales transactions, real estate professionals are responsible for assisting clients in one of the largest purchases of their lives. Clients depend on your expertise to protect their interests. It's important for you to understand how to employ risk management strategies to protect your client (and yourself) from unwanted hassles and costly missteps. The best ways to manage your risks are to know and follow Alabama license law, understand where and why legal issues occur, and know the steps you can take to prevent litigation.

This three-hour course explores agency issues, disclosure requirements, contracts, and contingencies. It also provides guidance on reducing liability exposure for you, your brokerage, and your clients. This course meets Alabama’s mandatory requirement for CE on Risk Management.

Course highlights include:

  • Identifying RECAD provisions and recognizing common misunderstandings
  • Handling specific situations relating to contracts
  • Sales contract best practices
  • Minimizing licensee risk when selling or renting their own properties and purchasing their own listings
