Since we first launched our learning platform, LEAP, in January 2015, we’ve learned a lot. As we’ve consistently added more students and more course content, we made the decision to further innovate LEAP by making it mobile friendly. With a new streamlined design that works across all computers, phones, and tablets, LEAP 2.0 lets you take your education with you wherever you go.

    So glad you asked! Basically, our learning platform got a facelift. We've made courses easier to navigate, streamlined their overall design, and made them mobile friendly. This means that you’ll now be able to take your course on your phone, tablet, or computer, and you can always pick up right where you left off. The new learning platform serves the same function as the old one, but now it's a lot prettier.

We've worked hard to become the best in our industry, and our learning platform is at the center of what we do.     No. You can still take your courses like you did before, but now you can access them on more devices than ever. Feel free to start a course on your computer, then switch to your phone and pick up right where you left off.

  • Does this change what my courses look like?

    Yes. The courses are stuffed with the same great content you’ve come to expect from The CE Shop, but the look has been streamlined to work better on mobile devices. Don’t worry, there are plenty of built-in tutorials to give you the lay of the land, and we’re always available by phone if you need some help.

  • Does this affect my renewal at all?

    Does this affect my renewal at all?

    No. Our courses are full of the same state-approved content, and are just as capable of teaching you what you need to know as they’ve always been.

  • Are your courses still approved?

    Are your courses still approved?

    Yes! While the user interface has changed, the course content has not. Anything approved for our old site is still approved for our new one.

  • What if I am currently in the progress of taking a course?

    Your course progress will not be interrupted. We’ve designed this transition to be as seamless as possible, and you’ll be able to pick up right where you left off.

  • I’m about to finish my course and take my final exam. Do I have to switch to LEAP 2.0?

    I’m about to finish my course and take my final exam. Do I have to switch to LEAP 2.0?

    For the first few months of LEAP 2.0, we give you the option to switch back to Classic View. If you’d prefer to finish the course in that view, go for it! If, however, you’d like to try out LEAP 2.0, that will work as well.

  • Does this impact having my final exam proctored?

    No. Any existing proctor requirements are still in effect.

  • How long can I access LEAP Classic View?

    How long can I access LEAP Classic View?

    LEAP Classic View will be accessible for the first few months of our transition in case you want to finish a course in the same environment you’re used to. After that period, LEAP 2.0 will be the only way to take new courses.
