Next Steps Towards Getting Your Louisiana License
Congratulations on completing your 90 hours of Louisiana real estate salesperson pre-licensing education! The next step is to tackle the Louisiana licensing exam. For the best chance at success with your licensing exam, we recommend taking the following steps:
Familiarize yourself with the exam content, outlined on pages 5-8 of the PSI Candidate Handbook.
Schedule your examination online through PSI.
Take advantage of the state and national practice exams, available at the end of your course. Even though you were required to pass the exams with a score of at least 80%, we suggest continuing to take them until you consistently score a 90% or better.

Number of Questions by Topic
The Louisiana real estate licensing exam consists of both national and state-specific questions. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass the national portion and a 73% or higher is required to pass the state portion. To best prepare you for the exam, here’s a breakdown of the topics that you’ll encounter on the licensing exam:
