Next Steps Towards Getting Your D.C. License
Congratulations on completing your 60-hour D.C. real estate salesperson pre-licensing education! The next step is to tackle your D.C. licensing exam. For the best chance at success with your licensing exam, we recommend taking the following steps:
Familiarize yourself with the exam content, outlined on pages 6-9 of the PSI Candidate Handbook.
Schedule your examination online through PSI.
Take advantage of the state and national practice exams, available in your course wrap-up. Even though you were required to pass your practice exams with a score of at least 80%, we suggest continuing to take them until you consistently receive a score of 90% or better.

Number of Questions by Topic
The D.C. real estate licensing exam consists of both national and state-specific questions. A score of 75% or higher is required for each portion. To best prepare you for the exam, here’s a breakdown of the topics that you’ll encounter on the licensing exam:
