We Will Be Riding at Elephant Rock on June 2nd to Help Raise Funds to Fight Childhood Hunger
We here at The CE Shop have two passions. The first one is providing the most engaging online content for your success in real estate education. The other is our non-profit organization The CE Shop Foundation.
At The CE Shop Foundation, our goal is to eliminate childhood hunger. Period. Every week, over 30 million children across the country participate in reduced or no-cost lunch programs. But when the weekend comes around, there is no one to provide meals.
Imagine going a whole weekend without food and then having to be ready to learn early Monday morning. It’s an endless cycle that limits childrens’ abilities to excel in the classroom in the short and long term.
In order to end this pattern, we’ve taken a stand with our school-aged backpack program. Every Friday morning, members of our team help pack food into these “Powersacks”, filling them with enough food to feed a family of four for an entire weekend. We need your help in keeping this going.
To help raise awareness and money for this noble cause, we’ll be racing at Elephant Rock on June 2nd. For those who don’t know, Elephant Rock is a 30 year old race where riders start off the biking season racing in any of three road courses (40, 62 and 100 miles), two gravel routes (27 and 56 miles), or a family ride (8 miles). You can learn more about joining our team––whether that be as a rider, fundraiser, or volunteer––by visiting EliminatingChildhoodHunger.org.
Our goal is to raise $50,000, but it only takes one $4 donation to fill a backpack. If you’re able to attend the event, come visit us at our sponsored tent (we’re the ones with the stellar blue and black set-up with the double arrow logo on top). We look forward to seeing you there and stopping childhood hunger in its tracks!
