Head South to Branson This Season
From Dolly Parton’s Stampede to adrenaline-inducing ziplining to the Branson Scenic Railway, there’s always something interesting going on in Branson. Christmas, as you might imagine, is no different — which is yet another one of the many reasons to purchase real estate nearby. Even if it’s a second home, there’s no other place in the country that offers the views and entertainment of Branson. Just look at the backyard view from this 2 bed, 2 bath townhome; not too shabby for $195k.
With that said, the entertainment is just as spectacular. The “Broadway of the Midwest” goes all out for the holidays, hence why Branson has earned the 35th spot on Country Living Magazine’s “55 Best Christmas Towns That You Need to Visit This Holiday Season.”
Christmas in Beautiful Branson, Missouri
The article notes that Christmas in Branson is a month-long affair and mentions the Branson Scenic Railway’s Polar Express train ride. However, what they don’t mention is that the train ride, which offers guests a scenic 45-minute jaunt through the Ozarks, is a train lover’s dream come true. Here, they’ll get to see a vintage 1951 BSRX 98 Locomotive in action and bask in the nostalgia of the train’s historic coaches.
Midtown Branson, on the other hand, is where the festivities truly bloom. COVID-19 has many of us inside for most of the day, but it’s important to get outside and get some fresh air. What better way to do that than with a socially-distant outdoor stroll amid Branson’s 6.5 million lights? If that sounds like your speed, grab some hot chocolate or a peppermint mocha latte and look into America's Christmas Tree City Trail which features over 700 uniquely lit trees.
Not a fan of the cold? Not a problem - take it all in from the comfort of your car. Driving tours such as Let There Be Lights!, Branson's Lights of Joy, and Shepard of the Hills Trail of Lights offer all of the holiday spectacles you could ever ask for.
As for the rest of the renowned entertainment, it’s probably not a great idea to attend one of the area’s many shows or New Year’s parties right now. But if there’s one thing we do know about the “Live Music Show Capital of the World”, it’s that the show must go on. The next holiday season will likely see a comeback even bigger and better than years past, giving you another excuse to make your way back down to Branson to catch awesome shows like “Hot Rods & High Heels 1950s Christmas” or the Emmy award-winning Texas Tenors performing “Deep in the Heart of Christmas”.
Should you or your client fall in love with Branson, we wouldn’t blame you. The good news is real estate here is delightfully affordable. According to Zillow, the median home value is $162,496 and that figure is expected to grow by 7.3% by the next year, so snag your property now!
