Idaho State Requirement Details for Real Estate Continuing Education

The CE Shop is an Idaho approved real estate course provider-#149

Every two (2) years , all Salespersons and Brokers must complete a total of 16 elective hours of continuing education PLUS a 1-4 hour Commission prescribed and written core course (number of hours required varies year by year).

  • Renewal deadlines occur in the month in which the licensee has their birthday in.
  • The CE Shop offers the 16 hours of electives. Please see our catalog above for full elective course information.
  • The core for this year through July 1, 2010 is a 3 hour core course covering the topics of Case Law, Hot Topics, and Legislative Updates. Currently, The CE Shop does not offer this core.
  • Per Idaho guidelines, you will be allowed to attempt the final exam on each of your courses twice (75% passing rate). If you fail the second attempt, you will need to start your course over from the beginning.

Immediately upon real estate course completion, The CE Shop will provide students with an electronic copy of the course Certificate of Completion. Certificates will remain in your account for a minimum of five (5) years, should you need additional copies at a later time. Licensees are encouraged to retain copies of their Certificates of Completion in the event that they are audited by the state. Please refer to your renewal application to determine if you need to submit your Certificate(s) of Completion with your renewal.

Real estate course completions are recorded with the Idaho REC each business day. It may take 2-4 business days from the time we report your hours before the Commission updates your license and/or updates their website with the hours.

Please enter your individual license number correctly and fully when prompted in the registration process to ensure the reporting of your hours takes place.
