  • What is Self-Study Continuing Education (CE)?
Self-Study Continuing Education courses are correspondence programs completed online. Most states do not require seat time. If seat time is required, it will be noted on the state requirement details of the state catalog page and in the emails and orientation page of each course. In most states you must pass a multiple choice final exam to assure your state agency that sufficient training time was spent and proficiency was attained.

  • Why has my course expired in my account?
PLEASE NOTE: The expiration date listed in your account for each individual course supersedes the general 12 months from time of order policy as well as any state policy of how much time customers have to complete courses from time of order as listed by state below. From the date of enrollment, students generally have 12 months to access and complete the course with the below EXCEPTIONS. COURSE IS UP FOR RENEWAL WITH THE STATE: Most states require our school to renew our courses periodically. In some cases, a course we submit for renewal will NOT get renewed by the state for a variety of reasons. Therefore your course may have a shorter shelf life then you expected when you ordered it. Other times the course will be renewed for fewer hours or a different type of hours (mandatory/elective). If the course is renewed in the same manner it was initially approved with the state, you will find the course expiration date in your account has been adjusted to allow for additional completion time not to extend beyond the maximum of 12 months from date of order. COURSE HAS A DESIGNATED SHELF LIFE WITH THE STATE: Some states will have a mandatory core course that will only be good for a period of 1-2 years and will expire with ALL course providers on a designated date. Those states do not allow the course to be renewed for mandatory credit and the commission expects all licensees to complete such course by the designated date (generally coinciding with the CE/license renewal deadline). COURSE HAS BEEN RETIRED BY OUR SCHOOL: In order to offer the very best, relevant and up-to-date course content to our customers, our school will sometimes make the decision to retire a course from our offering. When this occurs, we elect to NOT renew the course with the state(s) it is approved in and allow the course to expire in those state(s). NORTH CAROLINA: Rules state that an approved distance education school shall not permit students to register for any such course between June 11 and June 30, inclusive, of any approval period. The sponsor of any such distance education course shall require students registering for any such course to complete the course within 30 days of the date of registration for the course, provided that the deadline for course completion in any approval period shall not be later than June 10 of that approval period. Therefore to remain in compliance with this rule, if you order NC courses they will expire 30 days from time of enrollment or by June 10 whichever occurs first. WASHINGTON, D.C.: Rules state that courses must be completed within 3 months from the time of enrollment. Therefore to remain in compliance with this rule, if you order DC courses they will expire 3 months from time of enrollment. OKLAHOMA: Rules state that courses must be completed within 6 months from the time of enrollment. Therefore to remain in compliance with this rule, if you order OK courses they will expire 6 months from time of enrollment. IOWA: Rules state that courses must be completed within 6 months from the time of enrollment. Therefore to remain in compliance with this rule, if you order IA courses they will expire 6 months from time of enrollment. Re-enrollment will be required if the course is not completed prior to expiration date in non-retired/expired courses.

  • I did not receive one or any of the emails that I was supposed to get. How do I log into my courses?
Please check your junk or spam folder on your email account. It is possible that the emails were filtered there by mistake. • My course says that I am not 100% complete, but I completed the course. How do I get it to update?
If you are on your EASYTrack page, simply click on "My account" in the upper right hand corner of the website to refresh your page to show the most up to date information on your course. If you have done that and your course still does not say "Completed" under "Status" on your EASYTrack page, then there is still some work that needs to be done within your course. Please click on the course name to open it. Once in the course, please start at the top of the "Table of Contents" and work your way down to find what was missing. It could be any of the 3 things listed below: ***1. If there are any slides in the course "Table of Contents" that do not say "Completed" to the right of them under "Status" or say for example, (0 of 1) under "Progress", those slides need to be completed in order to proceed. Frequently missed slides include the 4 "Introduction" slides, which need to be completed in ALL courses, and the "Unit Objectives" slides that need to be completed in ALL units and courses. ***2. Make sure ALL exams (unit and final) have been completed and passed. ***3. If your state requires a SEAT TIME to be met, there will be "Time Spent/Required Seat Time" clocks in the bottom left hand corner of your courses. The Seat Time needs to be met to proceed with the completion process of the course.

  • When do the hours that I complete get reported to the state?
Please refer to your emails, course completion page, and/or your requirement details section (under catalog) of your state catalog page for more information specific to the state you are licensed in. If reporting is NOT noted in these areas, then we are not required by the state licensing entity to report your hours to your license. Please retain copies of your certificates of completion in the event that you are audited by the state to provide proof of completing your required hours. Please only send your certificates of completion with your renewal forms to the state IF they request them on the renewal form. Please note that we do not report to any associations, boards, or memberships that need proof of your course completion. If you are asked to provide proof of completion, please print your certificate(s) of completion for your course(s) from your account page. It is your responsibility to provide them with what they need.

  • My hours are not showing up with the state and/or not on the state website yet. What do I do?
Please be patient as it can sometimes take between 2-4 business days after we report your hours of completion to the state before they get posted to your license and/or the state website gets updated with the hours to your license. Please refer to your emails, course completion page, and/or the requirement details section (under catalog) of your state course catalog page to determine when or if your hours are reported to the state, and then give the state at least 3 business days to update their systems. If reporting is NOT noted in these areas than we are not required by the state licensing entity to report your hours to your license. • I cannot get the certificate of completion to pull up on your website. Can you fax or email me the certificate of completion?
The certificates of completion can take a few moments to come up. They should also open up in a new internet window which may open up behind your current window or in a new internet tab. Please make sure it is not open in an internet window somewhere first. If you have completed a course that is a Post Licensing course offered through our partner school, RE Campus, the course will not show up as completed on our website until the following business day. Once we have received confirmation from RE Campus that you have completed a course, we will manually update that on our site, and you will receive an email letting you know that you just need to electronically sign for your course. These instructions will be in your email. When that has been completed, you will see your certificate in your account. If you have completed a Pre-Licensing course, please be advised that you must complete a proctored paper final exam before the course will be completed and before you receive a certificate. If you have not set up your proctored exam, please call 888-827-0777 to receive more information. The certificates open using Adobe Reader. Please make sure you have Adobe Reader on your computer. If not, you may download it for free. Your certificates will remain in your account for 5 years (6 years in MI) for you to access in the event that you need to print it in the future. Only send in your certificates of completion with your renewal application if the state requests them on the renewal forms.

Only if you choose to. Courses delivered online allow you to log in and log out as you wish, completing the course on your schedule. The exam introduction slide will tell you how many questions are in the exam, what the passing score needs to be, how many times you may retake the exam if you have a failed attempt, as well as if there is a time that you need to complete the exam in. If you cannot complete the exam in one sitting, you will not be able to save your progress within the exam and return later to answer the questions you did not complete before. If you do not complete the exam in one sitting, you will need to start from the beginning of the exam the next time you go to take it.

  • Do I have to spend the whole seat time in a course, or can I go at my own pace?
Most states do not mandate seat time in the courses, which means that you can go at your own pace. If you finish under the hours the course is approved for, you are OK. We respect that everyone works at a different pace. If your state requires seat time, it will be noted under the state requirement details (under courses) on the state course catalog you are licensed in. It will also be noted in the emails you receive from us and on your course orientation page. For the states that require seat time, you can still go at your own pace, but if you finish the course prior to the required seat time (1 hr=50 minutes) than you will need to spend more time in the course by reviewing materials, retaking exams, reviewing glossary terms, etc. to meet the seat time and receive your certificate of completion for the course.

  • Why do I have to take exams if a classroom course does not require me to do so?
To comply with the state requirements of distance education learning, exams are required in order to ensure interactivity and in order to pass online courses.

  • What if I have real estate licenses in more than one state?
The CE Shop now offers multiple licensing! You can now store your license information for each state in your account under one email address, and in some states, you can order certificates for some courses for only 50% of the total course in that state, without having to take the course again!

  • How do I enter in more than one license?
First, log into your account with us with your email address and password. If you do not have an account, register as a new customer. Once you have logged in, you will see underneath the course information LICENSE INFO. Click on ADD NEW, and below there will be a place to enter in the state you are licensed in, the license renewal date, and your license number. Then click SAVE. You may add as many license states as you wish. If you want to receive CE for additional states, you must wait until you complete the course to see if that course is eligible in another state. Please be advised that you still need to purchase a certificate in each state before you can receive credit for that course in another state.

  • How do I get credit for another state?
Most states are eligible for multiple licensing. If you have completed a course within 90 days, and that course is available in another state, there will be a link underneath the course that says BUY CERTIFICATE FOR ANOTHER STATE. Click on that link, and you will be able to choose from a list the states you would like to get credit for. Simply check the box next to the certificates you would like, and proceed to checkout like you would when you order a course. Prices vary depending on the state they are offered in (50% of the total in that state), and not every state is approved for every course. Please note that additional certificates are not available for the following states: TX, WV, IL, and MO.

  • How many courses can I get credit for in another state?
The courses that are approved in other states have a link underneath the course once it has been completed that says BUY CERTIFICATE IN ANOTHER STATE? If you click on this link, you will see which states the course is approved in, and you may order the certificates for 50% of what the course is worth in another state. Please be advised that you must buy a certificate for each state you would like to receive credit in.

  • When will my additional certificates I ordered be reported to the state?
If your state is one that we report to (please check your state requirements at the bottom of your state course catalog page), the date we will report that it has been completed is the date that you ordered and paid for the additional certificate. This will also be the date that appears on your certificate of completion.

  • Which states can I receive credit for my courses?
You can add as many licenses as you would like to your account, but please keep in mind that you will not receive credit for a course in another state until you have completed the course and ordered a certificate for another state. If the course is approved in another state, you will see the link BUY A CERTIFICATE IN ANOTHER STATE? below the completed course. Not all courses are approved in all states, and Illinois, West Virginia, Missouri, and Texas do not have the option to purchase additional certificates in other states at this time.

  • Can I receive a printed copy of my course?
The CE Shop courses are designed to be taken online where interactivity can be properly monitored. Your course information is available online for one year after the course has been purchased unless otherwise noted in the state you are licensed in. However, you are able to print off each slide, one by one, if you find that there is information that you would like to save. To ensure a closed book exam environment and that cheating does not take place, the exams are not available for printing.

  • Why do I keep getting a pop up that asks if I would still like to continue with my course?
This activity alert is to ensure that you are actively moving through the pages of the course. This is required in some states that have a minimum amount of seat time. It is also used to make sure that the course was not just left open, so you can make sure you save your results. If you see this pop up and would like to continue, please click "OK" and you will be able to stay on that page. If you do not click "OK", your progress on that page will not be saved.

  • Can I get a booklet or handout of my courses?
Our courses are designed to be taken interactively online, therefore we do not offer any booklets or handouts of our courses. If there are certain pages you would like to print out, most slides are available to print by clicking on "print this slide" in the upper right hand corner. Some interactive lessons and the exams are not able to be printed.

  • Why is my course not coming up?
When you click on the course name it will open in a new window and that window should come up on top of the current "My Account" page that you are using. Some MAC users have an issue with the window being launched but coming up behind the "My Account" page. In that case, you just need to minimize the "My Account" window and you should be able to proceed with taking the course.
